You are already paying for this.

Just to four different companies, none of which talk to each other. Add up what you pay today and see the same job on one platform.

What you pay now, per month

Untick anything you do not have. The amounts start at what these tools actually cost in the Netherlands — overwrite them with your own invoices, which is the only comparison worth making.

What DNH does not replace

Your payment provider, your bookkeeping package, Microsoft or Google, and your website all stay exactly as they are. DNH connects to them. Anything that claims to replace your accountant's system is selling you a migration you did not ask for.

The percentage question

A cut of every donation is the most expensive cheap thing in fundraising.

Platforms that charge nothing up front charge per gift instead. That feels free while you are small and stops feeling free the moment you succeed — the better your campaign does, the more it costs you.

Worked through, with real published rates

A charity raising €5,000 a month in 150 gifts of about €33.
On a platform charging 6% + €0.49 per donation:
6% of €5,000 = €300  +  150 × €0.49 = €73.50
€373.50 a month, including VAT.

On DNH, core plus the Fundraisers module:
€149 + €39 = €188 ex VAT → €227.48 including VAT.
€146 a month less, and it does not grow when you do.

The 6% + €0.49 incl. VAT is Doneeractie's published tariff, effective 1 May 2026 — one of the few Dutch platforms that prints a number at all. Break-even against DNH core + one module is around €2,400 a month in donations at that average gift. Below that a percentage platform is genuinely cheaper, and we would rather tell you than have you find out.

The market, as at July 2026

Almost nobody in this market will tell you what they charge.

We went and looked. These are the published list prices for Dutch charity software — and the blanks are the story. Every figure below was read on the vendor's own page on 27 July 2026; follow the link and check it yourself.

Two honest notes on that table. Prices change and ours is a snapshot — if a figure has moved, the vendor's page wins, not us. And the blanks are not an accusation: quoting per organisation is a legitimate way to sell software. It is simply hard to compare, and the trade association putting its own negotiated discounts behind a member login does not help. We publish ours because we would rather you worked it out on a Tuesday evening than sat through a call to find out.

Where we are not the answer

Three charities that should not buy DNH.

A vertical product that fits everybody fits nobody. If you recognise yourself here, we would rather say so now than take a month of your budget first.

Too small

Under a few hundred donors

If you have 200 donors, one collection run a year and no staff, €149 a month is not proportionate. e-Captain starts at €365 a year, and a good spreadsheet is not a scandal at that size. Come back when the admin starts hurting.

Technical

You have real IT capacity

If someone in-house can run and configure a system, CiviCRM is free software on €75-a-month hosting and will do most of this. You trade money for your own time. That is a fair trade when you have the time.

Already invested

You run on Salesforce and it works

Ten Nonprofit Cloud licences are genuinely free, and if you have someone who knows the platform, rebuilding all of that here to save a licence fee is not a good use of a year. We are for the charities who tried that and found it needed a consultant every time.

Switching

Leaving is the part everybody is afraid of.

Reasonably so — the donor file is the organisation. Here is exactly how it goes, including the awkward parts.

Your mandates come with you

A SEPA mandate stays valid when the administration moves, as long as the signature date and reference come across. Nobody has to sign again. That is the single biggest fear and it is unfounded.

Run both for a month

Keep your old system alive for one billing cycle and compare the two collection runs line by line. If they don't match we find out why before you switch anything off.

Your notice period is the real constraint

Most contracts in this market run per year. Check yours before you plan anything — you may be paying twice for a few months, and that cost belongs in this comparison too.

And leaving us

One month's notice, a full export in a usable format, no exit fee. We would rather lose a customer cleanly than keep one who is stuck.

Put your own invoices in it.

The calculator above is only worth anything with your real numbers. Fourteen days free is enough to check whether the rest of it holds up too.
